Our home - Clairvaux Estate in Robertson
A rich family history and vast influence of inspirational individuals have sculpted Clairvaux to what it is today. The homestead is located amongst the Cape Winelands and more specifically the Robertson Wine Valley renowned for its world class wines. It is a magical place which inspires us to dream, believe and fly every single day.
In 2012 we renovated the old stables and barns into the working studios where Rialheim has been produced since then.
Now, for the very first time, we are opening our beautiful home for a limited period allowing you to experience Rialheim like never before and to indulge in country living at its finest.

Nestled in the heart of the Robertson Wine Valley, Clairvaux is a charming farm with a beautifully restored homestead that is enveloped with lush gardens and breathtaking views of the valley. The homestead dates back to 1703 portraying beautiful architecture, spacious rooms and high ceilings. The interior is an interesting mix of contemporary art and family heirlooms.

Our eclectic home offers the discerning traveller an opportunity to escape the hustle and bustle of city life in the midst of the Robertson Wine Valley with superior finishes, furniture and fixtures. A combination of old and new, the interior design pays tribute to the homestead’s century’s old heritage with heirlooms and photos of a bygone era whilst combining contemporary pieces to ensure your stay is both memorable and comfortable.

Enjoy the sounds of birds as you savour your morning coffee on our verandah (or stoep in Afrikaans) and take in the breathtaking views of the valley. A stroll in our manicured and lush gardens is the perfect way to start the day or explore the Robertson region with its plethora of vineyards, restaurants & Cellars.
