Thesen Island Seahorse Planter (Matte White)

Ceramic Planter | Handcrafted Functional Art | Coastal-Inspired Gifting

Product Overview

From the calm estuaries of Knysna to your living space — the Thesen Island Seahorse Planter brings beauty, narrative and form into one sculptural piece.

A Tale of Clay, Conservation & Story

Inspired by the legendary Knysna Seahorse found only around Thesen Island in South Africa, this planter is a silent ode to endangered beauty and craftsmanship. Each vessel is hand-sculpted from locally-sourced African clay, crafted at our solar-powered studio on Clairvaux Estate, Robertson, and finished in either a crisp matte white or rich bronze glaze.

Every seahorse motif wrapping the form is individually applied, making each planter totally unique — a collectible piece of functional art.

With its generous proportions and sculptural profile, the Thesen Island Seahorse Planter elevates any interior — whether planted with greenery, styled as a stand-alone sculpture, or featured as a centrepiece of story and design.
